High display quality
Because each point of LCD always keeps that color and brightness after receiving the signal, and always emits light, unlike the cathode ray tube display (CRT), it needs to refresh the bright spot constantly. Therefore, LCD has a high quality and absolutely no flicker, which minimizes eye fatigue.
No electromagnetic radiation
The display material of traditional display is phosphor. It is shown by the impact of electron beam on phosphor that the strong electromagnetic radiation will be produced when the electron beam hits the phosphor. Although many display products have dealt with the radiation problem effectively at present, so as to minimize the radiation as far as possible, it is difficult to eliminate it completely. In contrast, LCDs have inherent advantages in preventing radiation, because there is no radiation at all. In the aspect of electromagnetic wave prevention, LCD also has its own unique advantages. It adopts strict sealing technology and a small amount of electromagnetic wave is enclosed in the display. In order to dissipate heat, ordinary display must contact the internal circuit with air as much as possible, so that the electromagnetic wave generated by the internal circuit will leak out in large quantities.
Large visible area
For the same size display, the LCD display has a larger visual area. The visual area of LCD is the same as its diagonal size. For cathode ray tube displays, the front panel of the picture tube is surrounded by an inch or so of frame, which cannot be used for display.
Good picture effect
Compared with traditional displays, LCD displays start with flat glass panels, the display effect is flat right angle, which gives people a refreshing feeling. And LCD is easier to achieve high resolution on a small screen.
Low power consumption
Traditional displays are made up of many circuits. These circuits drive the CRT to work. They need to consume a lot of power. With the increasing volume, the power consumed by the internal circuits will certainly increase. In contrast, the power consumption of LCD is mainly consumed on its internal electrodes and driving IC, so the power consumption of LCD is much smaller than that of traditional displays.
